On June 8th 2016, the Chicago Reader released an article that broke the silence regarding horrific incidents of abuse and blatant un-professionalism committed by Darrell W. Cox, a Chicago based actor, while working with Profiles Theatre Company. Cox was nominated for and won a Joseph Jefferson "Jeff" Award for his performance in Profiles production of the play Killer Joe by Tracy Letts, the performance and production that was highlighted in detail by the Chicago Reader Article for the amount of abusive incidents that were committed by Cox towards his fellow cast mates. Cox does not deserve to continue to hold this honorable recognition for work that put his fellow cast mates in physical, mental, and emotional harm. I plead to The Joseph Jefferson Award Committee, take a stand against abuse in our Theatre Community and revoke Darrell W. Cox' Jeff Award win for Killer Joe.
