These people next door to me have these beagles locked in cages in their fenced in back yard. They are 100% neglected and the cops are animal control and won’t do their jobs and take them or make the owners do something for them. The dogs have no roof, no hay, no tarps no nothing to keep them warm it gets about 5 degrees out at night and they’re beagles. Beagles are NOT meant to be outside 24-7. They’re prone to frost bite because they have no undercoat and they’re very social dogs. So when they’re isolated like they are, they become depressed and even start to have health/behavioral changes. They start to howl, dig and chew incessantly which these dogs do. They have done this so much they tried to dig out and the ppl put up concrete blocks to keep them in. They don’t pet them, they don’t play w them, They don’t have toys, hay or anything to occupy them. When it rains for days on end they’re stuck in the plastic igloo and can’t come out at all. Then they have no food for days because, no roof, means soggy food. The only things these people care about is possessing them.  There are two of them BUT they even have these dogs separated w a cage between them (small cages mind you) so they can’t even cuddle to stay warm. They have this small plastic igloo w nothing in it. Their legs are covered to the top with mud because their pin is nothing but mud from the snow and rain. They run in circles all day or stay in that igloo w no socializing whatsoever . It gets worse! She has a smaller dog that she lets outside to pee and when she lets it out… she PUTS A COAT ON IT! She is knowledgeable on how to take care of dogs but has the audacity to have those two dogs locked up every day and every night. In all weather conditions. Even the big storm that caused the tornado in Kentucky recently. It was bad and they were left out in it. But she lets the other dogs inside and even puts clothes on them? Please help me give these dogs a real life with owners who will let them indoors, love them, play w them and give them what they deserve the rest of their lives. It’s so sad this is their life and they don’t know what love or life is. If we can get enough signatures and show the police these beagles lives matter, maybe they can actually take it seriously. The cops said “they’re  dogs they’re fine” and that’s awful for a cop to say when THEYRE the animal control! It’s horrible because if a child or anything other was being neglected 100% of the time they would take your kid!  (and mind you in a lot of other states it’s illegal to keep them on a chain outdoors 24/7 or in a cage!) so why these officers dont care about them I have no idea. This is unacceptable and we already have really good people lined up who want to take them and take care of them, but the owners won’t let them go and the one owner even said he “they’re very well taken care of and are very loved” I guess he wasn’t expecting me to show everyone that is a lie. Please please sign this in hopes of getting them a REAL home! Thank you for your time!
