Put the Cannabis Bill to a public vote.

Our Dáil rejected this proposal without any solid logical thinking or investigation. Ireland is ready for cannabis to be legalised, if only for the revenue it is guaranteed to generate. Our current government will never pass this bill as they are all set in their ways and they can't let go of their personal opinion. Our country should not be run on someone's personal opinion and the Irish public, by right, should have the voice on whether or not this bill is brought to fruition.

It's time that we, the public, were given an opportunity to vote on a law that is outdated and asked to make up our own minds about how our country should be run.

Minister for Health James Reilly said: "Most people who use cannabis smoke it and I am vehemently opposed to smoking." Personal opinion is not the correct way for a government to operate and the bigger picture should be looked at.

With enough signatures, we can present this to Luke 'Ming' Flanagan and at least we will have voiced our opinion on this.

Some research is available here to show the medicinal benefits of cannabis: - Cannabis has completely alleviated this young child's seizures brought on by her rare condition. - Dr. Sanjay Gupta, a doctor who was previously in direct opposition of marijuana legislation, did his research and now fully supports its legislation. This is a CNN Special he did which also covers Charlotte's Web, the case above. - 20 medical studies that show that not only does cannabis reduce tumours, but it actually cures cancer. - Explains many different afflictions that can be treated with cannabis. - A short video detailing the science behind cannabis. - A longer video detailing the science behind cannabis and its benefits.
