Dallas County DA's office has been using several tactics to avoid releasing public information.  They are required by state law to make the basic information regarding arrests public.  Most law enforcement agencies post a daily or weekly arrest log on their websites because this information is extremely relevant to public safety and transparency.  I'm not asking for any personal information or investigation related information... just the arrest book and incident reports.  I already agreed to the required redactions.  Why would they need to petition the AG to withhold it? We have several other information requests, ones made before this one, that they are still fighting.
