Thank you everyone for your support on our Tourism Industry Petition – we’ve recently hit 2300 signatures and this petition is coming to a close this coming Sunday. 

From Monday it will be delivered to the offices of both the Australian Prime Minister & the Queensland State Premier.

Please take this last opportunity to share this petition with anyone who has been effected directly or indirectly as a result of the continual lockdowns and border closures.

It is projected that a further 3000 tourism and hospitality jobs will be lost by the end of 2021 if the industry does not receive meaningful support to keep business alive.

NOW more  than ever we need our voice to be heard.

The industry has recently been advised of a one off hardship grant program that will be jointly funded by both the State and Federal Levels of Government, but the industry is yet to see any details, and no-one has received any of that support as yet. 

The FNQ Tourism Industry has been bleeding now for over 80 consecutive weeks. We need appropriate , proportionate Government support IMMEDIATLEY.

The precedent has been set in NSW and VIC with the Job Saver Program. Time is of the essence – Tourism Businesses and their Employees need State and Federal Support to survive NOW.
