Unfortunately, Canada’s Liberal Fisheries Minister Bernadette Jordan issued the export permit allowing Marineland to export the five belugas: Sahara, Jetta, Kharabali, Havok and Havana to Mystic Aquarium. But that does not mean this issue is over, dozens of whales remain at Marineland where they currently are protected from performance exploitation and breeding by Bill S-203 Ending of Captivity of Whales and Dolphins Act. As a result, LCA is calling on Minister Jordan to maintain the integrity of Bill S-203 and guarantee the protections currently in place will be guaranteed to the remaining cetaceans at Marineland. 

By allowing this export to take place, Minister Jordan stripped these five beluga whales of all future Canadian protections, let's not let this happen again. Please continue to sign and share this petition!
