I have been informed that Hot Springs, SD will be losing over 450 jobs over the next year due to the closure process of their Veteran's Hospital. I understand that all medical staff, police officers, and firefighters that are important infrastructure will be included in the jobs lost over the next year. The people in the town are deeply worried about the financial impact regarding their property values and the long-term costs to the town overall with it's largest asset shutting down. I would also like to announce that we have 12 supporters of this petition and I have faith that those numbers will continue to rise. I am deeply grateful to all who are listening and taking action to reach out to a community so far from our own. The heartfelt support is truly inspiring and shows me that the passion, drive, and dedication that created the United States of America is very much alive in all who are responding. Thank You Again!
