As you may have read previously, I brought a home water testing kit for proof. I wouldn't be doing this if I didnt believe there is something really wrong. I have better things to do seriously. Complaints became more frequent on face book buy, swap, sell. More & more people questioning what can be done. This is what has to be done, like evidence before a court of law, you must have proof. And the below results are it: Total Hardness: 180 PPM- this means, we have hard water, bordering on very hard. ph/Total Alkalinity Test: 6ph/0ppm-this means we have below the ideal amount of ph & 0 for total alkalinity. Free Chlorine: 25 ppm ideal amount is 5 ppm this means way over in the amount of chlorine in the water. Nitrate: 50 mcl The maximum contaminant level is 10 mcl Nitrite: 3 mcl The maximum level is 1.0 mcl Copper: 5.0 ppm The maximum level is 3 ppm Iron: 0ppm The correct level is 0.01 so not too far off. As you can see the levels are all over the place, which is why the water tastes metallic, like dirt sediment, old pipes or algae, it smells like rotten eggs, or chlorine. Not a good mix.
