Migaloo, the white humpback whale, is afforded special protection in Queensland and Commonwealth waters but not in NSW waters.

This petition seeks to protect Miagloo during this transit. We call on the NSW Environment Minister and the NSW Government to afford special protections to Migaloo so that his journey through NSW water is safeguarded. Specifically we seek a 500 metre exclusion zone ruling and, as a further preventative measure, a police escort through NSW waters.
