Australia continues to allow non-human primates to be placed in inappropriate environments and subjected to laboratory experiments that not only cause immense suffering, but can also be dangerously misleading for human medical progress because of the significant biological differences between humans and non-human primates.  

Your petitioners therefore request an immediate ban on the use of all non-human primates in medical and scientific research in Australia.
