Stop cemetery build on school parish grounds at 20 Annangrove road Kenthurst NSW

The issue

The Catholic Diocese of Parramatta have applied to build a church and cemetery on 20 Annagrove Road Kenthurst.

Plans submitted to The Hills Shire Council with Application Numbers “59/2017/HA” and “60/2007/LA” for the permission to demolish an existing structure and build a church and lawn cemetery on the same grounds and within proximity to St Madeleine’s Primary School. Parents of children attending St Madeleine’s Primary School and St Marian college have expressed their disapproval to the placement of a cemetery on parish grounds right next to the school.

Neighbours and community members have expressed their unanimous rejection to the proposal for the 3000 burial lot lawn cemetery.
