Our sweet 4-year-old Boxer, Phoebe, was killed in the Hills of Argyle by individuals who are not residents of our community. They took the liberty to shoot our beloved dog with the intention of killing her when she got out on the morning of July 31st. Based on the police report, the shooter nor their dog was harmed prior to the shooting. We’ve since learned that those involved are not homeowners and merely visitors of the homeowner.

We are demanding that the HOA conduct a full investigation and take action to protect the pets in our neighborhood from individuals who are not homeowners in the neighborhood.

We’re asking that the perpetrators be required to leave the neighborhood and that the HOA include Denton County’s leash laws on their website.

As homeowners of the Hills of Argyle for 12 years, we feel deeply disrespected and saddened by the lack of initiative taken by our HOA. Over the years, we’ve never had any disputes. Phoebe had never hurt anyone nor left our property prior to the incident.
