At the time of his death, he was selling his company to Walt Disney Company and The Muppet Show characters and maybe Fraggle Rock, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and other Henson characters, except Sesame Street characters to Disney. Because to begin with The Muppet Show and 1950s Muppets was never meant for children, it was supposed to be an adult prime time television show like Simpsons. He hated the stereotype of puppets being children’s entertainment. He wanted to prove that puppets are for adults too. I feel that Disney has ruined The Muppets. And Henson wanted to do projects with Disney and thought Disney would take care of it. But clearly Disney isn’t doing any projects with Muppets. I think Brian and Lisa Henson would think of smart ideas and projects with The Muppets, not Disney.
