Of all the horrific stories of wildlife officials terrorizing innocent animals and the people who love them, one of the most disturbing is the heartbreaking case of Baby the deer.

Baby was not a wild animal or a pet obtained in secret. She was legally adopted from a deer farm, and was a LEGALLY permitted emotional support animal - lovingly cared for by a woman confined to a wheelchair in Pennsylvania. 

Every step of the adoption process was done by the book. The family worked diligently to ensure all requirements were met to give Baby a safe, loving home.

But their careful planning and good faith did not stop Game Warden Andy Harvey of the Pennsylvania Game Commission from unleashing a nightmare.

Without warning, the officer trespassed and targeted Baby. What followed was nothing short of sadistic. 

The video is too graphic for viewing. In summary, Baby was lassoed around the neck, violently dragged, and literally thrown into a horse trailer. Terrified and in pain, he thrashed violently, likely breaking his bones as he slammed against the trailer walls for at least thirty agonizing minutes. The officer stood by heartlessly, ignoring the family's desperate screams and pleas for it to stop.

Then, without explanation, the trailer was driven away—and Baby was never seen again.

To this day, Baby’s family has received no answers. The Pennsylvania Game Commission has refused to disclose what happened to him, and worse, they have threatened the grieving family with legal consequences if they continue to seek the truth.

This was not just a seizure. It was an abduction. A cruel, inhumane act carried out under the authority of a state agency funded by our tax dollars. No animal—especially one raised in love and care—deserves this. And no family should be terrorized so cruelly and inhumanly. 

Governor Josh Shapiro and the Pennsylvania Department of Wildlife have remained shamefully silent. No apology. No accountability. No justice.
