The Great F1 Robbery (Lewis was robbed) we’re taking legal action against the FIA.

The Great F1 Robbery (Lewis was robbed) we’re taking legal action against the FIA.
The Issue
Ok we’re in the 2024 season and suffering from great anticipation however, the debate continues over the 2021 Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix but there’s a risk that it will eventually fall below the radar. Therefore, we remind you of it and tell you we will be taking legal action against the FIA to in an attempt to invalidate Verstappen's win.
You'll be aware that a petition was raised by Patel Gordon§-Bennett after the race to have Lewis Hamilton recognised as the true winner of the 2021 F1 championship by invalidating the win of Verstappen. He is to be lauded for taking this action.
Alas the petition in this case, though noble an effort, did not have the desired effect of having the win by Verstappen ruled as invalid, the FIA simply ignored it.
This was mostly because petitions are not an effective tool for people to express their views on a subject to affect change. Despite this, we are using a petition on this occasion to help to get this message to you.
We expect the FIA to encourage the sport's sponsors to act in a fair and equitable manner to people of colour and women. Unfortunately, it's clear that they don't.
We plan to take legal action using a Group Litigation Order (GLO)
It's important that this action is taken by F1 fans rather than any driver or team, despite their wealth. Funding this legal action with their money will significantly weaken the legal case against the FIA. Because it will look like various teams and drivers are simply pressing for an advantage for themselves. We ask for your monetary support via our website: thegreatf1robbery.com Doing so will allow us to add it to our legal challenge against the FIA fund. Your donation will help pay for the cost of this legal challenge.
Donating using the change.org buttons below will cause your donation to go to change.org rather than us, change.org will not pass your donation onto us.
So please donate through our own website: https://thegreatf1robbery.com
If you do you will be given free access to our F1 AI. It’s been trained to be expert in F1 rules, and F1 car tech.
Our view is that the FIA are confused as to what their role really is. They think a regulating authority is the same as a controlling authority. Regulation is about ensuring broad fairness in the F1 sport, whereas controlling is exploiting various events in a race to favor specific drivers and teams. Which is what happened to Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes team that day.
Since the FIA failed to be enlightened as to the difference between regulation and control by the original petition we intend to use the legal system to make the difference clear. The ensuing cost and embarrassment from a lost legal case will ensure that they regulate rather than control F1 races.
To that end we are going to use a more effective means for redress; the civil courts, using the GLO.
It appears that many F1 fans feel that the FIA should not be burdened with having to fight legal actions as it detracts from the enjoyment of the sport.
The reality is different, it's precisely the excesses of the FIA that detract from the enjoyment of the sport. What I mean by excesses is the highly controversial and unfair rulings it makes on a nearly continuous basis.
Without encouragement from the risk of legal action, the FIA would otherwise have no incentive to make fairer decisions.
Those that are sceptical of our intended efforts should be aware that historically the FIA has been successfully sued on several occasions.
If you want to see the details of these past cases then visit our website, a link to which can be found below;
The intention is to apply to the high courts of every jurisdiction that hosts a Formula 1 race to take legal action against the FIA. Winning the case in just a few (two or three) countries would be sufficient put the FIA under tremendous legal pressure to invalidate Verstappens win.
For this whole enterprise to work it needs to be done on the basis of the interest of all F1 fans, not the interest of any particular driver or team.
We are using Lewis Hamilton as a symbolic figurehead for this action since we at TheGreatF1Robbery believe that Abu Dhabi was a travesty but this effort is mostly for the fans of F1 in general, and all the major bad and unfair FIA decisions in the recent past, the present, and the future. If the FIA is not challenged it will continue with its unfair practices.
Specifically a Group Litigation Order (GLO) (or in the US a Class- Action Lawsuit) is where a group of individuals with a common aim collectively take legal action against another entity (in our case the FIA) to achieve some objective; the invalidation of Verstappens win and attributing the win to Lewis Hamilton.
This objective is usually money in compensation for something or, as in our case, recognition of a change in the status of the winner of a major international competition.
One example of a GLO action intended to sue for money is represented by the mydieselclaim.com website.
We have absolutely no relationship or involvement with this claim, however, it will give you some insight into how a GLO for monetary compensation in the UK works. Remember they are suing car manufacturers for money.
We are suing the FIA for not operating fairly.
Taking action in high courts is very expensive so we ask you to donate £5 (modest compared to the cost to stream live race coverage or attendance at a circuit) or whatever you feel you're able to give to support us in our legal action against the FIA. Please be aware that if you do decide to donate £5 please go to our website (https//:thegreatf1robbery.com) to do it, because any money donated to Change.org is kept by them and doesn't go towards the cost of the legal action against the FIA.
Our legal action against the FIA is now even more urgent as Felipe Massa is now taking legal action against the FIA in another case of a lack of fairness and abuse of power.
If he is successful it would mean that Lewis Hamilton's total championship wins would reduce by 1 to 6 rather than stay at 7. If we can legally force the FIA to invalidate Verstappen's win (or have his win invalidated separately in different sovereign states e.g., the UK and US then we could effectively take Lewis Hamilton's championship wins back to 7.
To show our appreciation if you decide to sign this petition and donate we will give you access to our F1 AI that will explain the F1 rule system allowing you to engage better with others when following F1.
One final thought; those skeptical of the need for sporting regulating bodies to operate fairly and with integrity need to consider this four-letter acronym: FIFA, I rest my case.
We intend to establish ourselves as the main source of fan based oversight and critique of the FIA. We are still building out our web presence and when it’s finished fans will have a platform for legitimate, intelligent, and rational criticism of the FIA. Also praise, where it’s justified!
Hopefully our approach will be a refreshing change from the often mindless commentary that we see on some of the F1 forums.
If you want to learn more and understand some of the legal arguments underpinning our legal challenge to the FIA ( and donate £5 via our website) then please visit our main website; https://thegreatf1robbery.com
Donating via our web site ensures that the money goes to our legal action fund, rather than change.org who will simply keep the money for themselves, preventing us from funding the legal action.
