Take the scary, gruesome images off the Haunted Mill's advertising!

The Issue

Children who view these billboards are disturbed and very frightened. As parents, we have a right to protect our children from seeing these scary images. Please help to urge them to advertise without the use of frightening, gruesome images!!

“Recently you wrote to me concerning your views about Halloween advertising by billboard for The Haunted Mill in Menges Mills. While Halloween can and should be a fun-filled holiday, the frightening images on some of that advertising can be misunderstood by young children and scare them instead. But even though laws or local government regulation may not prohibit Halloween billboards, your voice can still affect that advertising. I encourage you to write to Menges Mills and the billboard companies to make sure your concerns are raised. As you and others do so, these companies may very well voluntarily respond by toning down their advertising, making Halloween more of the fun than scary for our youngest citizens again.
