If we don't have the right of recall, we do not have the right of fair Government. The State of North Carolina is one of only twelve states that forbid recall elections. It is the right of the people, as stated in the Declaration of Independence: "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."  It is time to hold Government accountable, not just the Federal government, but right here at home.

At the present moment neither our Federal nor State Government is doing what is in the best interest of the people of the United States of America. I cannot claim to be able to fix the Nation, but I believe we can start right here in our own State. Politicians nationwide should be held accountable for their actions as well as their beliefs while they are in office. You are there to serve the people of the United States; not to serve yourself or your financial backers. Our State's own motto is "Esse Quam Videri,"  which means "To be, not to seem." Right now we SEEM like a Democracy ran by the people for the people, let us try BEING one instead.

Allow recall elections in the state of North Carolina

It is the right of the people, as stated in the Declaration of Independence: "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." It is time to hold Government accountable, not just the Federal government, but right here at home.

I cannot claim to be able to fix the Nation, but I believe we can start right here in our own State.
