I _________ would like to formally sign this petition by Kepa Arrantzale from www.peterthefisherman.com To be given time to speak at “The United Nations General Assembly in September 2022". I demand a much stronger stance combatting the problems facing humanity & our home today. Crucially critical problems like Pollution, Global Warming, Deforestation, Species Extinction, Overfishing, Ocean Acidification, Overpopulation, Rising Sea Levels & Natural Disasters to name just a few. Whilst I acknowledge that progress is being made in some areas. As a person of the World, I demand much more drastic action be taken now to combat these global problems we currently face. Realistic & comprehensive short- and long-term plans need to be conceived to ensure our home Earth has a bright & healthy future, we must see major environmental advances in all facets of our lives, from the way we produce energy to the way we feed ourselves.

Much larger steps need to be taken NOW. Our future generations depend on it.

Our governments currently spend almost TWO TRILLION Dollars per year on the military, developing yet more lethal and efficient ways of killing. I want to see a major repurposing of this spending, infrastructure & personnel to go to war fixing the environment. Ships to help remove rubbish from the oceans, engineers to create infrastructure in areas where it’s needed most, creating & protecting reefs & mangroves to begin restocking the oceans, the planting of native trees on a global level not seen before in human history. I demand a vast improvement in recycling & reuse of our waste products creating thousands of new jobs in urban & rural areas across the globe working towards a cleaner, greener & healthier environment for all.

There is no time to waste on this most important issue. As seen with the COVID Pandemic, Governments can be spurred into action. Now is the time to do the same with the Environment. A great opportunity exists for humanity to restart post-COVID in a new & vitally important direction. Countries collaborating on a global scale sharing in the knowledge of the best Innovations & practices moving forward.

As a citizen of this World, I demand much more be done today, not tomorrow.

I add my voice to this petition in the hope that the leaders of this world hear our call. The Climate Emergency is upon us, luckily, we have many solutions, if we only implement them in time. That time is NOW!
