Honresfeld is a home with nursing care providing a range of services for adults with physical and neurological disabilities. Honresfeld stands in two acres of gardens and was opened as a Leonard Cheshire Disability home in 1959.

It is the home for 22 residents who have been told that the home is to close at the end of March due to several factors one being Rochdale local council not being able to increase any funding they provide for residents in line with increase in  Leonard Cheshire fees and the building is also in need of repair work. Leonard Cheshire have taken the final decision to therefore close the home as it is not viable.

This home is a fantastic facility and isn't just a nursing home but a family! It would be devastating to the residents, their family, staff and the local community to lose such an amazing place. This has been home to some of these people for over 30 years and it would be such a shame to have to move them from a place they love.
