The state is in a terrible condition at the moment, statistical reports suggest that the positivity rate at moment is as high as 45-55% and would be seeing a crest in the coming days. Additionally, on being tested for RT-PCR one out of every two individuals is being reported as a carrier of the virus. 

Although the government has jacked up the number of beds available to tackle the rapid surge in the active cases of the new mutant, West Bengal is still infra structurally unprepared to deal with a peak, similar to those noted in Maharastra, Delhi.Having said that it becomes even more essential for the government to take things into consideration.

The need of the hour is to stop all sorts of election propaganda and focus on the the duties that they are pledging to fulfil, if elected. Consideration should be made on declaring a complete lockdown, like the other states to flatten the curve before things get uncontrollable!
