Kakwenza released on cash bail of Ugx500,000. Surities ordered to pay Ugx10m non-cash. He is barred from discussing the matter in the media. He has been asked to deposit his passport for a period of 6months and report back to Court on 1st/February/2022 as investigations into his case continue.

He is basically still under persecution, although he is out of the kidnappers' hands.
