This poor elephant is Parassala Sivasankaran. Tied to his post with tight chains pulled taut so as not to allow too much movement of the "dangerous", "violent" animal! His front legs are constantly immersed in muddy, slushy water, a rot threatening to form. I am told he is 24 years old. Just look at him! Look at those eyes! Looks like a helpless young boy, lost without his mamma...
We must get him out of those chains and safe in a rescue centre.
