Our government took the initial steps to safe guard our most vulnerable in society on Thursday by closing all schools, colleges and crèches. However the limit on social gatherings of over 100 indoors is not enough. There are stories all over the media today and videos being shared on WhatsApp of packed bars in towns last night. This is not good enough. We need to learn from the mistakes of other countries and ban all public gatherings effective immediately! St. Patrick’s Day will be an absolute shambles if the pubs in this country remain open to the general public. Some people are not taking this crises seriously and it’s the responsibility of our government to protect us at this crucial and worrying time.  
We deserve to be protected and kept safe and I for one am not happy to think that these people out socialising in pubs tonight will, tomorrow, be out shopping in supermarkets and pharmacies that other people, who are taking responsibility and staying home, also have to use! 
Wake up Ireland or there won’t be anyone left to wake up in a month!!!!!
