Animal cruelty is under looked by the Canadian justice system. I am standing for animals getting the justice they deserve. Being fined is no way to punish a person who has caused pain to another living creature. Cases of animal neglect, torture, abuse etc should be a crime and be sentenced to jail time depending on the situation. We also have to make sure that the people who harm animals may not be allowed to purchase or breed any type of animal and be punished if found doing so. Canadians have to work together to get this problem solved. If people can be sentenced to time in custody for accidentally killing another human , people should sentenced for PURPOSELY hurting an animal. Dogs , cats , reptiles , ferrets , rabbits , hamsters , mice , rats , etc. Should all get justice when it comes to abuse. No matter how big or small the creature. I would like to reach as many signatures , and shares as possible. With a new political party in power, we can change Canadian laws. Justin Trudeau can make the change we are asking for. This petition is to raise awareness for animal abuse in Canada and to stricken the Canadian laws.
