With Barbados in its second Covid-19 lockdown with no certain end during these hard times many people are struggling with their mental health and I’m afraid to say Barbados’s resources are simply inadequate.

The suicide hotline is never available The people of Barbados shouldn’t be sent to voicemail when seeking help In addition to the unavailability of the hotline the line is also not toll free meaning If one does not have phone credit one cannot reach the hotline this is simply unacceptable. 

there should also be online therapy resources of some sort such as a chat where you can text a licensed professional
