Let Ric' O Barry back into Japan to continue his work trying to save dolphins from masacre

The Issue

Ric O' Barry is one of the only men who has dedicated his life to saving innocent dolphins in Taiji, Japan. Every year, between the months of September and March the dolphin fisherman of Taiji forcefully lure dolphins into an entrapped "cove" where they brutally massacre these innocent creatures in a matter of hours by the hundreds. There is quite literally a pool of blood in the ocean surrounding these killings. Rick O' Barry has dedicated his life to putting pressure on the Japanese government to ban this horrible act of cruelty. He has fully committed himself to the cause and without any violence tactfully records these acts of inhumanity to let the world know the truth behind a multi million dollar industry. This is how Ric became responsible for creating the Academy Award Winning film "The Cove", which has shed light on this horrible issue. Being that Ric is the primary reason for the protest of this massacre, the government of Japan wrongfully held Barry in a Japanese detainment center for 19 days. They then deported him back to America so they could continue to capitalize on the massacre of innocent dolphins without any interruption from humanitarians like Ric. We cannot let this go on any longer. Sign this petition to pressure the Japanese government to reverse Barry's deportation so he may continue to devote his life to trying to save these innocent creatures.
