At the very beginning of lockdown, at the exact moment he government was telling people that they must not travel when they had COVID symptoms, Dominic Cummings, chief advisor to Boris Johnson, saw fit to travel over 200 miles to stay with his parents in County Durham.

This is an obvious breach of the lockdown conditions, and if he is allowed to remain in post, destroys the credibility of the government and will lead to the population deciding that, if a government aide can ignore the rules and get away with it, they will too. This has the potential to destroy the government's whole COVID strategy at a stroke.

He MUST go. NOW!

No hiding behind technicalities.

No claiming that he followed the rules.
