Gavin Williamson was possibly the most incompetent education secretary this country has had. He presided over the absolute farce of teacher assessed grades, made multiple U-turns over it, and made a generation of children have no faith in the education system. He devalued the grades students were given, devalued the hugely difficult job of the teachers over the pandemic, and should not be rewarded for this. How can he be given a Knighthood with his track record - he was sacked from the government - surely that shows he isn't capable and certainly should not be the recipient of a knighthood.
