Risk of execution for detained rights defender Idamange Yvonne in Rwanda

The Issue

Rwanda:Tortured woman, Ms Idamange Yvonne IRYAMUGWIZA, a human rights defender at risk of execution

Today 15 February 2021 in Rwanda, Ms Idamange Yvonne IRYAMUGWIZA, genocide survivals'rights defender, a freedom leader, was arrested for exercising her right to freedom of expression and is currently suffering a cruel treatment, harrowing ordeal in a solitary confinement in police custody.
She has outspoken on behalf of exploited Tutsi genocide survivals and Rwandans tired of the current dictatorship.

She is a single mother who has been forced to leave alone 4 children unattended.

Rwanda's authorities must ensure those responsible for her torture and ill-treatment are brought to justice. Let's all call upon the Rwandan government to release her without any further delay and let her enjoy her freedom of speech.
