Day after day children are sexually abused, raped and exploited. Some children may only be a matter of days old, supposed to be surrounded by love but instead they are subjected to an unbelievable amount of pain and torture. This needs to stop. In today’s justice system if you shoplift or are caught dealing drugs you are given a custodial sentence however if you are caught downloading indecent images of children even if you are a repeat offender you are given a community order. Where is the justice in that? Recently in the news a male had been downloading videos of a child less than 4 years of age being anally raped and what sentence did he get? A community order. Even though the police had visited his home on three occasions, seized devices and he was found to be still downloading indecent videos of children being sexually assaulted and raped he still only got a community order. Why do the judges protect those criminals? Why are the offenders escaping jail time whilst innocent children are literally screaming from the pain they are going through? I ask you to think if it was your child. If your child has been taken from your home whilst you were sleeping and had been subjected to pain so horrific in that moment they would pray for death how would you feel? As parents, as human beings we are supposed to protect our children. Monsters don’t live under your bed or inside the shadows they live in our streets. They could be our friends, our neighbours or even our colleagues. So I ask if you to hear our children’s screams! Hear their torment! Hear their torture! The justice system needs to explain why we are so lenient on such terrible crimes! There needs to be a jail sentence for such crimes! Please help to get enough signatures so that we can put this to the government and we can help to keep our children safe.
