Today the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom published a new report, that I had the pleasure of collaborating on, on the enforcement of worldwide blasphemy laws. The report highlights the gross human rights violations in the 84 countries where blasphemy laws exist. Per our research, Pakistan is the country with the single highest level of state enforcement against "blasphemers." The report highlights the case of Junaid Hafeez, as well as the hundreds of others who have found themselves victims of blasphemy laws. Please share this report widely and renew calls for the release of individuals such as Junaid Hafeez and for the repeal of blasphemy laws, wherever they exist.
