Trade Sanctions Against China To Ban Exotic Live Animal Markets & Environmental Pollution
The outbreak of Corona Virus as we all know has caused tragic loss of life, economic hardship and disruption to the whole world. Today the devastatingly sad news that a 13 year old boy, Ismail Mohamed Abdulwahab has died from the Corona Virus at a London hospital, has spurred me to start this petition.
The only way to stop outbreaks such as this happening again is to initiate Trade Sanctions against China and all other countries such as Indonesia and Asia who continually let the activity of wet markets of live exotic animals such as the one in Wuhan where Covid 19 originated from continue. Markets such as this are horrific, trading live animals in appalling conditions mixing animals in unhygienic and unregulated conditions that have been proven to spread diseases such as Sars previously and now the Corona Virus.
China also has no restrictions with the immense environmental pollution it produces. It is the worlds biggest polluter. China contributes 30% of the worlds CO2 emissions annually.
Until governments around the world take action and have a financial impact on the Chinese government and others with these practices, these appalling and detrimental activities will continue to destroy our planet, cause disease to spread around the world taking lives of innocent people and the needless suffering of innocent animals. Until we all stop buying goods because they are cheaper from China and our governments put pressure with trade sanctions the Chinese government and others will not take action until it affects them financially. Since the outbreak China has ordered the Wuhan market to be closed down, but many are reopening and still remain open across China and and Asia.
Please let the loss of this little boys life and the many others that have been so sadly lost make a difference to policy around the world, so that we all learn a valuable lesson from this disaster and the world is a better and safer place in future because of it. Please sign this petition and see if we can get enough numbers to put pressure on our government and others around the world to implement trade sanctions to force the changes desperately needed.
