Family Child Sex Victims. NO COMPENSATION due to unfair 1971 LAW!!!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
Adult victims of 'historic' child sex abuse by family members or familial individuals CANNOT claim, ANY compensation i.e sue the perpetrator or anyone else if their abuse occurred prior to 22nd January 1971. Even after 1971, compensation (if any) is rated at the value of dollar at the time. In other words, can be as little as a few hundred dollars. There are NO Royal Commissions, and no Government funded redress schemes for victims abused outside the realm of institutional abuse.
The little girl in the photo suffered at the hands of her paternal Dad through all of her formative years and into her teens. Why does the law treat her trauma with less consideration, as having less impression?
Sign this petition to have the 1971 capped law dismissed. All abused should be treated with the same legislative and compensation rights no matter what year it happened!
