Still Human in Brighton & Hove
12 Feb 2017
It's clearly not appreciated that Robert Carver has chosen to spoke out and appeal to your support after waiting five years for the council to meet their legal obligation.
Social Services has downgraded Robert Carver to an annual review, the care hours are going to be reviewed (and probably reduced) and a council spokeswoman, Anne Meadows, has stated that the council doesn't accept that Robert Carver is 'trapped' in his attic flat, basically reverting their previous opinion that the flat was, after all, not suitable. This is the flat which Robert can only access if he is manhandled - dragged - up the 28 steps that make up two flights of dog-stepped stairs.
The campaign team has stepped up its effort to hold the council to account.
Truth Ferrets, a brilliant team of grassroots media, have visited Robert Carver at his home and produced the following interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSdDVNKV0UI
We think it's a brilliant interview and are committed to fighting this battle to the end.
Thank you for your continued support, please keep on sharing the petition and news links.
On behalf of Bobby Carver, a heartfelt thank you - your concern, interest and support keeps him going in the hardest of circumstances.
