The modern day use of Basil is without to say the least, the biggest problem in modern day diet. It's only benefit is to make you eat less of the food Basil decides to encroach on. It was rumored in World war II and the Vietnam war to be fed to P.O.W.s to make them talk and is often use as a torture mechanism in 3rd world countries. Modern day Chefs still cannot explain why they put this offending herbs in food, although it has been speculated that cooking is some sort of sick game to them because no reasonable person actually enjoys it.

We need strong sanctions to rid of this weed once and for all so children of the next generation do not have to live with our mistakes.
