We declare a vote of no confidence in the ECB board and its directors

The Issue

The actions and decisions of the England and Wales cricket board (ECB) over the last 18 months have led us to declare that we have no confidence in their continued ability to govern English cricket. We demand that the current board members and directors should stand down with immediate effect and that a democratic, transparent election process should take place to elect their successors. We beleive that English cricket should be governed by a board that represents only the best interests of the whole of English cricket from village level up to the international teams. We beleive that the current board is operating without a mandate from the English game and it's supporters. Decisions are being made by the current board which are damaging the reputation, tradition and quality of English cricket. At its highest levels English cricket is being run with impunity by people who have demonstrated by their actions and decision making that they seek only self preservation and profit.

we demand that the game we love and support be governed by a board which will place the best interests of English cricket above all other considerations. We also demand that the board operate on a genuine, audited 'not for profit' basis with all revenue being distributed equitably throughout all levels of cricket.

these are difficult times for English cricket. The games place as a summer sport is being eroded by other competing sports in the UK and overseas. Clubs across the country are finding it increasingly hard to operate with ever increasing expenses and ever diminishing returns

In order for our English game to continue to grow and thrive it must be lead by dynamic, selfless, forward thinking and wholly accountable leadership. We beleive that the current board and directors are totally incapable of this and the only course of action is for them to now stand down and make way for a board who can lead our sport effectively and safeguard it for future generations.
