Sandesh Jain started this petition to The Election Commission of India and
Congress party released its manifesto on Tuesday, 2 April “making promises which it can’t fulfill” moreover promises are “dangerous” and "fraud" in nature for the nation.

The Congress in its manifesto has promised to omit Section 124A that defines the offence of sedition.

The manifesto of the party is against the “unity of the nation”.

Rahul Gandhi offered 20 per cent of the poorest families will be given an income support of Rs 72,000 every year which is one sort of bribe to voters.

Election Commission must take action against him.

RAHUL GANDHI has no right to spend our hard earned taxed fund to full fill his note for vote politics. Global economy is already in distress.

No party should allow to offer anything in free from govt fund. They can offer from their party fund if this offer is for some customized category people.

However, when Rahul Gandhi declared the scheme, I did my math. It worked out to be Rs 3.6 lakh crore per year (72,000 x 5,00,00,000). Then I checked the total revenue of the government of India for 2018-19. The revised total collections of the government of India (including, tax, non-tax and capital receipts) for 2018-19 were Rs 23,99,147.30 crore (approx Rs 24 lakh crore). This means that 15 per cent of the Central government's revenue will be spent as Rahul Gandhi's Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme.
The question is from where this 15 per cent additional revenue will come from? The point to be noted is that around 42 per cent of Central government's revenue is given to the states as their share. Then, around 15 per cent is given as special assistance or aid to states. That means around 65 per cent of revenue is going to the states. What remain is just 35 per cent, out of which 15 per cent will go in MIG. That means that the GoI will be left with just 20 per cent of revenue to take care of its existing welfare programs, infrastructure building, defence up gradation and other necessary expenditures.

Will the Congress cut the plan allocation, or defence budget or completely stop all existing welfare programs including MNREGA, MSP support, farm interest subsidy and scholarships, subsidised products and other such schemes or it will tax the taxpayers further for collecting this MIG?

Another minor question is that what about the people having income of Rs 13,000 per annum as Rs 12,000 or less is the qualification criteria for availing this MIG. Thus, whoever has an income of Rs 10,000 per year will get 82,000 (including Rs 72,000 as MIG) whereas whoever is earning Rs 13,000 or even Rs 50,000 per annum will become poorer than the beneficiary!

The Congress claims that their scheme has budgetary prudence. I think they need to explain or else the people will consider that the Congress is offering the public moon just for electoral politics.
