Bury FC has been brought to its knees by irresponsible chairmen who have overspent and unacceptably indebted the club.  It has also been failed by the EFL whose substandard Fit & Proper regulations allowed this to happen on their watch.  Now the EFL is determined to make an example out of Bury by expelling them from the league and, in the process, covering up its own mistakes. 

Whilst a deal could not be finalised by the latest EFL imposed deadline, there were a number of other viable deals which have not been adequately considered.  We do not believe it is worth sacrificing an illustrious 134 year history just for the EFL to prove a point.  Given the potentially disastrous impact on both the local and football communities, we urge the EFL to reconsider its decision and reinstate Bury FC into the Football League immediately.
