This petition calls for the use of ‘Bradford City’ when referring to Bradford City football club, rather than simply ‘Bradford’. You wouldn’t call Sheffield Wednesday or Sheffield United ‘Sheffield’, so stop doing it with Bradford’s football clubs. It sounds petty, but there is true, genuine reasoning behind the use of ‘City’ when referring to Bradford City, and that is one of historical rivalry which can easily be researched online. We (Bradford City football club) are not ‘Bradford’ - we’re ‘Bradford City’. Please enforce the need for mainstream media such as the BBC sand Sky Sports to use ‘Bradford City’ when referring to Bradford City football club as supposed to simply ‘Bradford’.
