No to Funza Lushaka first preference and YES to equality to all qualified educators

No to Funza Lushaka first preference and YES to equality to all qualified educators
The Issue
Problem
The Department of Education gives most preference to Funza Lushaka beneficiaries than any other qualified unemployed educators in terms of employment. We sincerely feel that:
1. The Department is violating our our very constitutional right to Equality (Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Constitution)
2. Approximately 70% of unemployed qualified educators are not Funza Lushaka beneficiaries which means about 70% of university graduates will be deprived employment and about 30% (Funza Lushaka beneficiaries) will be employed.
3. The Funza Lushaka funding itself is insufficient which then results in the increased number of non Funza Lushaka graduates that does not recieve preference in terms of employment.
4. The policy regulating such preferences should reviewed and amended for the benefit of the public as a whole regardless whether one is a Funza Lushaka beneficiary or not.
Solution
The Department of Education should review their policy and amend it for the benefit of the public as a whole. There should be no preference amongst qualified educators in terms of employment. Educators should be treated equally and appointed due to their qualifications and not whether they were Funza Lushaka beneficiaries or not.
Personal story
We are the official South African citizens and qualified unemployed educators who, along with other quiet unemployed educators country wide, think that it is totally unfair that other graduates recieve more preference in terms of employment just because they were funded by Funza Lushaka while some of us struggled without any bursaries or even NSFAS but we are not granted employment upon completion.
