There are approximately 80,000 homeless children in Michigan, and 2.5 million homeless children in the United States. These children receive around $100 from the government per school year, for school supplies and school breakfast and lunch. On average, it costs $200,000 to raise a child. It is our duty as citizens to eliminate restrictions such as hunger, thirst, and other basic necessities so these homeless children can focus on their education.
