Grassroots football has been suspended in light of the Coronavirus. Clubs are facing serious financial difficulties and added to this burden is the requirement to pay annual subscriptions to the County FAs and respective Leagues. In most cases the cost will be between £1.5k - £3k. 

We are calling upon the Minister for Sport and Secretary of State for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport to work with Football Association to provide financial support to the governing bodies to enable Grassroots Clubs to have a 12 month "holiday" from the payment of annual subscriptions.

This financial support will help to enable clubs to recover quickly from the lack of income during the suspension and help to ensure football can resume when the Coronavirus crisis is over or significantly reduced.
