Quelch Fruit Stick Ice Blocks are basically a necessity in an Australian summer

My family has been purchasing these delicious cold treats for over 20 years, and I have probably spent hours of my life rinsing out the packets before recycling them.

However, as of last month, the individual packets seem to have undergone a change for a brand new design, and while the plastic wrapper feels exactly the same, I noticed the recycling logo has been removed.

I rang and emailed The Daily Drinks Co (who own Berri), who confirmed that they have moved to a new formula of packaging that is not recyclable. Because of a simple design change, there are now thousands and thousands of sleeves of plastic that contribute to landfill instead of being reused.

Please join me in letting Berri know that there is no excuse for not using eco-friendly materials in 2017.
