!!TRIGGER WARNING!! (Discussion of animal abuse and torture)

In 2018, leaks of an online zoo sadism group surfaced. Zoo sadism is the torture and maiming of animals for sexual pleasure. This group talked about and sent graphic things depicting the rape and torture of animals. One particular member, that was found out to live in Cuba committed the heinous crime of adopting a small black puppy and raping and mutilating it to death. They sent a video of this (and many more disgusting things) to the zoo sadism group. Although we now know who this degenerate of society is (Ruben Marrero Pernas), no charges have been filed against him and he has seemingly gotten away with this horrendous crime. This is a petition to create laws in Cuba that benefit towards animals and their rights. This man deserves to rot in prison for the rest of his life but instead got off scot-free, just to endanger more animals and maybe even people. I care about this matter because animals are important to me and their rights should be respected by humans, we protect them. The fact that this unspoken relationship was violated and not punished should not continue to go unnoticed by so many. We need to seek justice for animals in Cuba, whether they are strays, wildlife or even pets. Signing this petition will help work towards a goal of changing rights for animals and making this message noticed by those who are higher up. Most importantly, I seek justice for Karma, the 2 month old puppy (mentioned above) that died in the most horrendous way possible.
