Our beloved friend, son, husband and father Shabaz Khimji-Roberts, was accused almost ten years ago of several sexual offences against an individual, and was convicted and sentenced in 2018. He is currently serving a 12 year sentence in a Category B prison.

The entire investigation has been mishandled throughout and his trial was inexcusably biased and unfair from start to finish. No witnesses were called and no evidence - beyond the 'compelling' account of the individual - was produced. 

We are not assuming Shabaz's innocence, nor are we asking you to. We simply wish for him to have a fair trial.

Our reason for starting this campaign is to bring his case to media attention; to create awareness amongst the public about the injustice that he and we as a family are suffering; to expose corrupt activities by various Public Service Organisations and finally, to prevent further miscarriages of justice.

We know that this case is not isolated in its nature. Many, many men have been accused of sexual offences and locked away without ample evidence.

We have appealed and we have lost. Now we are now looking to re-appeal and to take the case to the Criminal Case Review Commission.

Shabaz is missing his family terribly and to add insult to injury, he has not seen his two daughters since his incarceration. We have made it our mission as a family to get him a re-trial that we want to be fair, honest and without corruption.
