Allan Marshall was forcibly restrained by more than a dozen prison officers whilst on remand at saughton prison in Edinburgh in 2015. Allan sadly passed away from his injuries a few days later in hospital. Allan had been beaten by these men, men that are meant to help him, support him and protect him. These men used excessive force including dragging him through a corridor naked with a towel on his face, kneeling and placing their feet on Allan. 

Allan suffered injuries from his head to his feet. The procedures the officers were trained to follow didn’t happen they were completely bypassed no medical intervention happened until it was too late. Yet the crown granted  immunity to these men on the basis of them speaking at the fai to tell the truth about what happened that day but there was so many inconsistencies in every story no truth was told. Yet these men are free to do it again to another person. 

Please sign and share this petition let’s try and get justice for Allan and his family. These guards should have to face up to what they have done and be prosecuted. More training should be given and followed so this kind of  tragedy doesn’t happen again. Allan’s death was totally preventable according to the fai report. Let’s get justice for Allan. The family are asking the lord advocate to look at the immunity given and overturn the decision and bring charges of perjury and contempt of court based on the fatal accident enquiry findings.
