HELP KEEP CASSIE & CHIP TOGETHER!

HELP KEEP CASSIE & CHIP TOGETHER!
The Issue
My friend Cassie needs our help! Please read the following from Cassie and please take the time to sign this petition. It would mean the world to Cassie and Chip! Thank you for your continued support!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I was so excited to get my foster dog, Chip. The second I met him I fell in love. Upon getting Chip the shelter gave me a 10 day option to adopt him before they would give anyone else the opportunity to do so.
At the end of the 10 days I was still deliberating as I recently adopted a cat and wanted to be absolutely sure it would be a good fit for both of them and myself before making a permanent decision. I asked for some more time, they declined, which was fine because I knew what my heart was telling me, I love this dog and cant be without him. By the end of my 10 day period I told them I would love to adopt him. That's when then things took a turn….
Despite The Crossings Animal Society KNOWING that I had recently adopted a cat and finding it to be a safe and suitable environment for fostering, they’ve now decided that a new dog and cat in the same household is too much of a “risk” I can tell you that my dog and cat love each other very much. They enjoy cuddling and they are always together. I've sent multiple pictures and videos to the organization showing them the love these two have for each other and to lift any and all concerns. In past experience I also know how great of a companion dogs and cats can be for one another.
Unfortunately, because of this apparent new risk,The Crossings Animal Society has decided to give another family the opportunity to meet and adopt Chip..even though I told them I would love to adopt before the 10 day period was up, per my contract.
After this new family meets Chip they have the option to adopt, giving them precedents over me, the person who’s been loving and caring for him for the last 2 weeks. If they choose not to adopt, I, again, become a suitable option and he’d come home with me. Not only does rip the dog from his home where hes happy and settled, they’re taking away the possibility of another dog in need of finding a loving home.
Furthermore, Yvonne D. Neiman, the BOARD PRESIDENT, refused to speak to me in regards to her decision. I asked multiple times for a phone call and was simply told that it would make no difference to speak with her. I am absolutely horrified with how I’ve been treated by everyone I’ve spoken to at the organization. It appears they made their decision before I was even given a chance.
I am heartbroken. I love this dog and want to adopt him
