The Issue
Service provided by BLS has to improve or stop and provide direct service by The Consulate General of India.
Many people have issues with BLS services as below:
- Often they lose applicaiton parcels,
- For any type of service we have to call them many many times to get even the correct info and to get the status of the application or to get the application back and still you can not get the correct information.
- Call Center staff don't have adequate knowledge,
- No attitude of serving customers,
- Returning whole applications with stupid reasons rather than requesting extra document what is missing or which has any mistake,
- BLS website never working on escalation or contact us form.
- They hold processed applications because their system doesn't integrate with each other such as sometimes passport numbers do not integrate with Purolator tracking numbers,
- They return applications for silly reasons to make money on courier services,
- Their information on their website is not accurate or contradicts with Govt Of India website for the visa, OCI, PCC, or many other kinds of stuff. Or the information is very confusing,
- BLS call center staff hang-up phone when they can't give transparency or they don't have knowledge.
And many more...
The Consulate General of India should remove BLS as the middleman and start their own services here or should hire a different vendor.
The Indian government's website is not even customer-friendly for information. Having those many IT professionals in India if the Indian Foreign Ministry can't even have a good website with accurate information.
If I would compare Canadian/US gvt visa, and embassy services to the Indian gvt, then Indian gvt would rank 0.05 against them. And everyone is surprised that if Canadian/US gvt or any other western country gvt can establish their foreign embassy services system with Indian IT professionals then why Indian gvt can not. Or is it the corruption in that too?
I found out that even BLS is sending The Consulate General of India all the documents by scanning and that how it's processed by The Consulate General of India, then why don't hey establish online system such as Canadian gvt has?
The Consulate General of India should react on this and need to take steps to improve the services.
