Petition updateTHE CONN ACTNOT covering dental doesn’t save money—it costs more in the long run

Here's the ROOT of the problem (pun absolutely intended):

Ignoring dental care for veterans doesn't save money. It costs more-in ER visits, ICU stays, surgeries, sepsis treatments, and lifelong health damage.

A single infected tooth can trigger endocarditis, pericarditis, and bloodstream infections that cost HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars to treat. One study shows dental infections are linked to 10-40% of endocarditis cases in certain populations.

Dental coverage for ALL veterans isn't cosmetic.

It's medical. It's ethical. And frankly-it's cheaper in the long run.

Let's stop filling budgets with gaps, and start filling cavities instead.
