📢Ending e-consults for complex cases is cheaper than paying for lawsuits and avoidable hospitalizations

Here's the problem with VA E-Consults - 

The VA relied on chart reviews in my Dads case instead of real patient exams.

These E-Consults meant:

No hands-on assessments.
No listening to his lungs.
No checking his pain, swelling, or weight loss.
Just quick digital notes saying 'Follow up if needed!

Chart-only medicine is NOT medicine. It's bureaucracy pretending to be healthcare. And veterans deserve better than a rubber stamp diagnosis from someone who never met them.

We must END e-consults for complex cases. If a veteran is sick enough to need a specialist, they're sick enough to deserve an actual doctor looking them in the eye.

In one 2022 VA OIG report, 61% of e-consults reviewed lacked sufficient information for proper specialist recommendations.
